The knitting community is split over whether National MP Paul Goldsmith's comments on Tuesday telling the Prime Minister to 'stick to her knitting' were offensive.
It came after Jacinda Ardern expressed anger at The Warehouse for announcing 1,000 job losses, despite taking more than $65 million in government wage subsidies.
Paul Goldsmith later conceded it was a poor choice of words and some people might have seen it as disrespectful.
His own deputy Nikki Kaye says she had her own words with him about his words.
