What does Covid-19 alert level 1 mean for event organisers?

From Checkpoint, 6:17 pm on 3 June 2020

Talk about moving to Covid-19 alert level 1 has got the phones ringing again at events companies for the first time in months.

The events industry ground to a halt when Covid-19 struck due to strict bans on gatherings - and within days event managers saw their bookings cancelled or postponed.

Among them was Red Pebble Event design, a small event management company based in Upper Hutt, north of Wellington.

On Wednesday Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced restrictions around gatherings - currently capped at 100 - would be lifted under level 1.

Checkpoint video journalist Logan Church spoke to Red Pebble's owner Michelle Hobson about what the move to level one would mean for her business.
