Covid-19: Bloomfield advises NZ scientists work with AUS on vaccine

The Director General of Health has poured water on calls from infectious disease specialists for a vaccine to be manufactured here in New Zealand.

On Thursday the specialists aired their fears that New Zealand may be at the back of the queue for any vaccine that is not developed here.

Dr Ashley Bloomfield says scientists should prepare to help with parts of the process, and join forces with Australia. Philippa Tolley reports.
