Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, government ministers and about 30 public service chief executives are taking a 20 percent pay cut over the next six months - but it does not go far enough for Act leader David Seymour.
Among the bosses taking a salary cut are chief executives of Corrections, Inland Revenue, Oranga Tamariki and even the Director-General of Health Dr Ashleigh Bloomfield.
But ACT leader David Seymour wants all MPs to take a pay cut. He talks to Lisa Owen.
