SEEK job advertisements down 70 percent since lockdown

From Checkpoint, 5:42 pm on 15 April 2020

Since the beginning of the lockdown the number of real jobs being posted online has dropped by over 70 percent according to one online job search site.

The government announced that unemployment could be as high as 26 percent but is expecting the number to be more around the 10 percent level.

Janet Faulding from SEEK told RNZ's Indira Stewart there will be jobs available but New Zealanders may have to look at adapting their skills or picking up a job they might not have considered before the pandemic.
