Covid-19: Media rescue package to come, govt says
The government says a "triage" rescue package for commercial media will be announced within the next week - focusing on immediate needs to help them survive the Covid-19 crisis. Commentators and media bosses have warned the Epidemic Response Committee today that without support and broader reform, the industry - which was already facing severe headwinds - may not survive in a way that ensures a robust democracy.
