New Zealand has had its deadliest day of the Covid-19 crisis, with three of the four deaths linked to a Christchurch rest home.
Officials say the deaths highlight the vulnerability of the aged care sector to the virus.
But the government is so far resisting a call from aged care facilities to ramp up testing to avoid further deaths.
