Huge post-lockdown infrastructure boost planned for NZ

When the government lifts the restrictions keeping people locked away in isolation, it plans to launch a massive infrastructure investment.

The Covid-19 pandemic could see unemployment rise to as high as 30 percent, but the Minister for Infrastructure says building new roads could alleviate some of that pain.

And to help fast track these infrastructure projects, the government is planning to speed up the consent process.
