Despite the drop in Covid-19 cases over the past week, the Director-General of Health says they will continue to rise.

Today the numbers jumped to 647 total after 58 new confirmed and probable cases were announced.

This includes a second nurse at Queenstown's Lakes District Hospital.

Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield says even though there are fewer numbers confirmed, New Zealand is not out of the woods yet.
