New Zealand's largest company is emerging as a bright spot in the economic gloom.

Fonterra chief executive Miles Hurrell says the co-op is in good financial heart and expecting to stay that way during the Covid-19 pandemic, avoiding job losses or sharp falls in revenue.

He told RNZ's Guyon Espiner that Fonterra expects the milk price to hold around current levels and said that the company is even experiencing spikes in demand for some of its products.
