Covid-19 lockdown: Don't panic-buy, we have enough, supermarkets urge

Countdown is begging people to resume normal shopping behaviour. Panic buying has meant trade has ballooned to volumes equal to Christmas shopping everyday for three weeks.

In a single day last week, Countdown says it sold enough food to feed 10 million people.

After repeatedly imploring customers not to hoard groceries, the supermarket giant is still struggling to cope.

Its spokesperson Kiri Hannifin joins Lisa Owen.
