Covid-19: NZ plans for lockdown, essential services continue

The country has two days to prepare for a month-long lockdown, with nationwide restrictions due to officially begin on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister announced the extraordinary move on Monday afternoon.

Effective immediately the country is now at alert level three meaning from tomorrow all public places, with the exception of essential services, have to close.
