New Zealand's response to the global Covid-19 pandemic has ramped up again today after the Prime Minister urged people over the age of 70 to stay indoors - more than half a million people.
There are new restrictions on bars and restaurants and all domestic travel, including for the school holidays, is also being discouraged.
The number of confirmed cases of the illness rose to 52 on Saturday and Jacinda Ardern says New Zealanders all need to play a part in saving lives.
