Covid-19 cases confirmed around Pacific Islands at 26

The numbers of Covid-19 cases across the Pacific has risen to 26 with five more people testing positive in French Polynesia today.

Tonga and Samoa have declared states of emergencies. Foreign nationals have been barred from entering the countries and restrictions have been placed on public gatherings.

Fiji has its first confirmed case and a person in Samoa is awaiting test results.

And as RNZ Pacific's Dominic Godfrey reports, health officials across the Pacific Islands are racing to stop the virus spreading because they won't have intensive care facilities to cope.
