In Christchurch, noise complaints about the police Eagle helicopter have skyrocketed.
Sitting at 39 just a week ago, as of Wednesday night they had almost doubled as residents register their annoyance with the city council.
This as the five week trial of the chopper comes to an end and the region's top cop says he wants it to become a permanent feature in the skies above the city.
