NZ govt has no plan for major Covid-19 relief package

New Zealand has no plans to immediately roll out a major Covid-19 stimulus package like the one unveiled in Australia.

The Australian government has announced a multi-billion dollar plan to keep businesses afloat - including direct payouts - cash in hand.

New Zealand's government is keeping the option open if the crisis gets much worse - but it has made clear that is not its priority now.
