A new tourism advisory group will meet for the first time this week.
The Covid-19 Tourism Action Group or C-tag been set up to advise the government on fall out of coronovirus and strategy for boosting visitor numbers.
The group includes representatives from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch international airports and Air New Zealand - the airline has already warned its profits this year could be down as much as $75 million in the wake of the outbreak.
New chief executive Greg Foran was among representatives who met with Tourism Minister Kelvin Davis in his office on Tuesday.
