ANZ in court over Ross Asset Management crash

From Checkpoint, 6:19 pm on 2 March 2020

The ANZ Bank has spent the day trying to convince the court a claim against it for damages related to the crash of the Ross Asset Management company should be ruled out.

The investors say the bank could have saved clients at least $80 million, if it had alerted authorities the company was operating illegally and as a Ponzi scheme.

The bank refutes this and wants the claim struck out. Emma Hatton reports from the High Court in Wellington.
