Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has publicly reprimanded Cabinet Minister Shane Jones, labelling his language around Indian immigrants as "loose and wrong".
The New Zealand First MP said Indian students had ruined academic institutions and there were too many immigrants "from New Dehli".
Ms Ardern says she hasn't had a chance to speak to Mr Jones yet, but that when she does she'll be relaying her displeasure.
National says that's not good enough, and wants more action.
