No worse, but no better - that is the conclusion of the Children's Commissioner following the release of the latest child poverty statistics.
While the government is claiming it's lifted more than 18,000 kids out of poverty by one measure, by others there's been no significant change or progress.
So is the government making in-roads on its promise to tackle child poverty?
