Hundreds of people have gathered on parliament grounds for an RNZ Concert Birthday Bash.
It is 87 years since RNZ Concert was first established - and musicians from around the country brought their instruments along for one of the more soothing demonstrations at the parliament.
RNZ reporter Jonathan Mitchell spoke with organiser Charlotte Wilson, and along with 17-year-old Jess Jenkins, who has played the violin for nine years and is a big Concert fan.
