Former National MP Jami Lee Ross and three Auckland businessmen have been named as the four charged by the Serious Fraud Office over donations to the National Party.
Yikun Zhang, Shijia Zheng and Hengjia Zheng - the other three defendants - applied to have name suppression lifted, with Mr Ross also agreeing to be named.
The charges relate to two $100,000 donations paid into a National Party electorate bank account - one in 2017 and the second in 2018.
Three of the men, including Mr Ross, have been charged with deception relating to both donations.
The fourth defendant was charged in relation to the one in 2018, and with providing misleading information.
This afternoon Mr Ross released a statement, claiming his innocence.
RNZ political editor Jane Patterson has the details.
