Govt announces new measles vaccination campaign

The government has announced a campaign to vaccinate the lost generation of New Zealanders who helped spur the measles epidemic.

It wants to reach about 350-thousand people aged between 15 to 29 who have low rates of immunity.

But experts say there was a massive sign the catch up was needed just two years ago and if officials had listened, the outbreak could have been prevented.
