A report - highly critical of Oranga Tamariki - has prompted calls for the immediate resignation of the Ministry's boss, Grainne Moss.
The Māori-led inquiry commissioned by Whānau Ora concluded the Ministry needs to be overhauled because of systemic failure, discrimination and breaches of the human rights of Māori.
The stories of 1,100 whānau were recorded over five weeks last year as part of the inquiry.
Hector Kaiwai headed up the team that recorded those whānau experiences with Oranga Tamariki.
