A wide ranging review of rugby to ensure it remains relevant and sustainable over the next decade expects to deliver its initial findings by the end of May.
New Zealand Rugby announced the review today - admitting the sport is under pressure in several areas - including participation, fan engagement, elite player retention and finances.
Chief Operating Officer Nicki Nicol told sports editor Stephen Hewson that rugby's structure has served it well for more than 125 years, but a review is needed to ensure the sport is fit for purpose.
