Taboo on salary talk hampering pay equity - female researchers

Women working in research say breaking the taboo of talking about salary may be a way forward on pay equity.

A Canterbury University study, released on Thursday, found women working in research in New Zealand can be expected to take home $400,000 less than men over their lifetimes, despite equal performance.

Rachel Thomas spoke to women in the field about how to close the gap.
