A firerarms dealer has revealed that the accused Christchurch mosque shooter purchased more than 2300 rounds of ammunition online, less than three months after obtaining his firearms license.

The submission last Friday came from Aoraki Ammunition owner Paul McNeill.

It was to the select committee considering the second tranche of firearms legislation being brought in following the March 15 mosque attacks.
