In the trial of a former Dunedin doctor accused of killing a teenage girl, the jury has today heard from a police officer who observed the accused's behaviour in the days after the murder.

Venod Skantha denies murdering 16-year-old Amber-Rose Rush in February last year, and his lawyer says his teenage friend - a key witness who has name suppression - is the guilty party.

RNZ Otago-Southland reporter Timothy Brown has been in the High Court, and filed this report.
