An investigation is underway into how two Australians fell to their deaths near Queenstown.
Sixty-two-year-old Brett Alexander Lentfer and 44-year-old James Harry Spaile were on a guided climbing tour on the Remarkables mountain range when the pair suddenly fell hundreds of metres off a cliff.
The company leading the climb was Aspiring Guides, who say their team and the wider climbing community has been deeply shocked by tragedy.
