Australians 'waking up' on cruelty in horse racing - activist

Meanwhile a recent expose on the mistreatment of retired racehorses has fueled anti-racing sentiment in Australia. Activists have this year been urging the public to say "Nup to the Cup".

Six racehorses have died as a result of the Melbourne Cup since 2013, and the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses found 122 horses had died on Australian tracks in one year.
