Universities struggle with students' mental health needs

Universities say they don't have the resources to cope with the ever-increasing demand from students for mental health support.

The Vice Chancellor of Victoria University says there's a "massively rising tide" of university students suffering anxiety and depression and it's making their job harder.

Universities say they've had to boost spending on student counselling by a quarter in the past five years, but demand keeps growing.
