Sex offender at Royal Commission 'there to support my partner'

From Checkpoint, 5:38 pm on 25 September 2019

The convicted paedophile at the centre of the scandal engulfing the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care has admitted being in the room at meetings held by the survivor's advisory group.

It emerged yesterday that the partner and support person of one of the Commission's survivor advisory group members is a convicted paedophile.

The Internal Affairs Minister Tracey Martin held an urgent meeting this afternoon with commissioners investigating historical abuse in care, over the revelations.
