The Crown has closed its case against a pair accused of what it calls the "barbaric" torture and murder of an Auckland teenager. Toko (Ashley) Shane Winter and Kerry Te Amo are on trial in the High Court at Auckland this month.

They are accused of murdering 17-year-old Dimetrius Pairama, whose body was found in a drum at an abandoned state house in Mangere last July.

RNZ court reporter Anneke Smith has the story.
