Fiji deaths - NZer faces multiple charges in court

From Checkpoint, 5:55 pm on 16 September 2019

Huge crowds gathered in Fiji at the Nadi Magistrates Court after police charged a man with the murder of five family members, whose deaths a fortnight ago are shrouded in mystery.

The bodies of Nirmal Kumar, his wife Usha Devi, their adult daughter and two granddaughters were found last month in the Nausori Highlands after they went missing.

A distraught baby girl was found nearby on a cliff edge, more than 30 kilometres from where their car was left.

Jenny Meyer has the story.
