NZ Rugby's Brent Impey on diversity and the new CEO Mark Robinson

NZ Rugby has appointed the first former international player to run the game in New Zealand.

Former All Blacks and Crusaders midfielder Mark Robinson will take over as CEO in January when Steve Tew steps down after 12 years at the helm.

A former chief executive of Taranaki Rugby - Robinson has been on the New Zealand Rugby Board since 2013 and been the Board's delegate to World Rugby since 2014.

NZ Rugby chair Brent Impey joins Lisa Owen in the studio.
