A former police officer says bullying in the police is having a negative effect on the public as well as the organisation itself.
RNZ has talked to more than 25 people who have been victims of bullying or witnessed it in the police, and they say it's a widespread issue led by senior staff members.
As police reporter Ben Strang reports, it's having a big impact.
