Major sporting codes in New Zealand are set for a dramatic shakeup as they admit they're driving kids away from competitive sport.
Sport New Zealand says there's too much focus on winning and too much pressure on kids to specialise and over-train.
Five sporting bodies have pledged their support to a new initiative launched today.
