Burger King worker claims they were told to work after hours

An Auckland fast food restaurant worker says it's intolerable they were asked to effectively continue working after clocking out.

The employee at Burger King Queen Street says a manager called on them to follow suit when another staffer stayed at work after their shift was over.

But the fast food giant says some correspondence has been taken out of context and Burger King doesn't ask people to work without pay.
