Students still in dark over marks from failed business school

Foreign students of a collapsed business school are still in the dark as to who will mark their final assessments and when they will get their diplomas, as Immigration New Zealand says they need to pay for new visas if they want to stay in the country.

Eve McMahon from NZQA says the Kiwi Institute of Training and Education had substandard marking last year, and this year it asked to be deregistered by NZQA and went into liquidation, before awarding students their final marks.

Ms McMahon says students who are out of pocket will be reimbursed.
