Silver Ferns coach Noeline Taurua's resignation from the Sunshine Coast Lightning has paved the way for a future in New Zealand next year.
She formally announced in a press conference this afternoon that her contract with the Lightning will end after the Australian domestic league finishes.
And there was more good news for Kiwi netball fans, with Netball NZ also announcing a contract extension for Taurua with the Silver Ferns after the team's World Cup victory.
But she has made it clear the extension is only for five months and that her future beyond that is unknown.
RNZ netball reporter Ravinder Hunia has more.
