Cabinet considers more power to censor prisoners' mail

From Checkpoint, 5:26 pm on 19 August 2019

Cabinet is pushing ahead with law changes to what mail can be received and sent by prisoners, after the alleged Christchurch gunman was able to send mail to supporters.

The Prime Minister says Cabinet ministers will consider proposals put forward by the Corrections Minister over the next two weeks because the law as it stands is out of date.
