The Managing Director of the law firm taking the onsold test case, says as far as she is concerned, it will still be heard at the Christchurch High Court in 10 days.

Angela Parlane of Shine Lawyers, says she only learned the case was abandoned when she watched Grant Robertson announce it during RNZ's livestream this afternoon.

Shine lawyers represents more than 50 homeowners who unknowingly purchased homes with botched EQC repairs.

Those homeowners, known as 'onsolds' include the Gibling family who are the test case.

The Giblings used their KiwiSaver savings to buy their first home only to find it needed $300,000 in re-repairs.

Angela Parlane tells Lisa Owen she's proceeding as if the Gibling's case is going ahead.
