Watch - Former deputy Prime Minister Paula Bennett says she's "feeling much better" since having gastric bypass surgery over summer.
She said she decided to be upfront about having the procedure to stop unnecessary speculation.
"I feel like I've said enough, I don't feel like I need to go into details or anything like that."
She said she was part way through a lifetime journey of being healthier.
