Judith Collins Resigns

From Checkpoint, 5:09 pm on 30 August 2014

Her resignation comes after an email was referred to the Prime Minister's office which suggested she had been involved in efforts to undermine the then director of the Serious Fraud Office, Adam Feeley, in 2011. The email was written by Ms Collins' close friend, the rightwing blogger Cameron Slater. Mr Slater wrote: "I also spoke at length with the Minister responsible today (Judith Collins). She is gunning for Feeley. Any information that we can provide her on his background is appreciated." Ms Collins made this statement to a news conference in Auckland earlier this afternoon.
