Morning markets for Wednesday 4 June 2014

U.S. stocks edged lower on Tuesday, with the Dow and the S&P 500 receding from Monday's record closing levels, the Dow Jones Index is down 10 points at 16,734 and the broader measure of the US market, the S&P 500 Index is down a point at 1,923. Across the Tasman, the Australian 200 Index closed yesterday down nought point seven percent at 5,479 and the NZX 50 ended down 14 points at 5,164.
