Chinese New Year 2013 draws local talent!

It’s that time again! Chinese New Year follows the lunar calendar and a 12 year cycle with an animal representing each year. It’s the Year of the Water Snake in 2013 and the Wellington Chinese New Year Festival is celebrating a complete 12 year cycle from its very humble beginnings – an audience of 50 on Courtney Place –  to crowds of up to 35,000 across Wellington’s city. Lynda Chanwai-Earle is down at the TSB Arena on the waterfront checking out the latest and greatest that our local performing talent has to offer.
