Still no lockdown in Fiji as Covid-19 cases continue to soar

From Pacific Waves

Fiji's Covid-19 figures continue to rise as health authorities report there are over 28-hundred positive people in isolation.

More than a dozen people have died since March last year, most of them during the current outbreak.

Yet the prime minister Frank Bainimarama continues to resist calls to  enforce a national lockdown saying this would cripple the economy.
