PNG struggling to get people vaccinated against Covid-19

From Pacific Waves

Health authorities in Papua New Guinea are struggling to get people vaccinated against Covid-19.

The total number of confirmed cases in PNG continues to grow - it's almost at 17-thousand - having grown by about a thousand cases a week in the past four months

The government insists the situation is under control, but is anxious to use up vaccine doses before they expire.

A health worker takes a swab from a man at a Covid-19 testing centre in Port Moresby. Rates of testing in PNG are incredibly low.
