Court action may determine if new vote occurs in Samoa

With fresh elections called in Samoa purportedly to break the month-long deadlock between the two major parties, only the caretaker HRPP government is campaigning.

The newcomer FAST party, which has the same number of seats as the government  is challenging the legality of a new ballot next week says the deadlock should be decided in the courts and by following constitutional protocols.
