Covid-19 - Fijians brace for worst-case scenario

From Pacific Waves

The World Health Organisation says tough choices need to be made in Fiji where the government is scrambling to contain a worsening outbreak of Covid-19.

The country recorded its first death from Covid in the community this week with over 40 active cases recorded so far, almost 30 of them transmitted locally.

Things were further complicated by recent flooding with thousands of Fijians still reeling from the impacts.

The WHO says it's bracing for the worst-case scenario on Fiji's main island Viti Levu as Christine Rovoi reports.
